Time: Enter the total units of time you wish to sample. Use the arrow key to scroll to the next field. Offset: The CBR device operates at a minimum distance of 1.5 ft (or 0.5 m). The Default 0-Distance Point is 1.5 ft ahead of the device. If you want a negative distance, you need to specify the 0 marker farther ahead of the default 0 marker. For example, to get 3 ft of negative distance, you set the Offset to be 3 ft. Then, when you are 1.5 ft in front of the device, the calculator will record your position to be -3 ft. Use the arrow key to scroll to the next field. Units: The choices are M (meters) or Ft (feet), pressing enter will alternate between them. Use
the arrow key to scroll to the next field. Counting: The choices are Seconds, Minutes, or Hours—pressing enter will alternate between them. Use the arrow key to scroll to the next field. Use the Sample soft key or highlight Sample and Press Enter to begin sampling. You may exit at any time by using the Exit soft key or 2nd QUIT [MODE].

| Sampling via the CBL2 |

Time: Enter the total units of time you wish to sample. Offset: (Only necessary for CBR.) Units: The units depend upon the type of probe connected to the CBL2. Pressing enter will alternate between them. Temperature Probe: F (Fahrenheit) or C (Celsius)
Voltage Probe: V (Volts), A (Amps) or O (Ohms)
Light Probe: No Units

| Animating and Editing a Sample |
 |
Once you have successfully completed a sample, you can animate and re-animate the sample. Enable animation by F2: View: Animation. This allows you to determine if you have achieved the target motion and create a strategy in order to re-sample. |
| |
 |
You can edit a sampled Actor's initial position by F3: Edit: Actor A or B. This is especially useful when you hve created a target motion and you would like to change the starting position. |
