Helpful Hint
Create a Class List before beginning a class or establishing the network. Be sure to create groups if you plan to group students. You can easily move students to/from groups once class is in session.
 

Set Up/Verify the Network
 
Starting a Class/Activity
Remember to close TI-Navigator before opening MathWorlds.
 
Choose Classroom Management from the Tools Menu.
 
 
Remember
If Classroom Management is not available, you must enter a valid key under the File Menu.
 
Starting a Class
Once you have opened a class, becomes available. Students will not be allowed to log in until you . Students will be "Waiting for Teacher" until you start an activity. You cannot until you have opened a Class List.
 
Once a class has been started, students may log into MathWorlds.

Note
Starting the activity before students have logged in, prevents students from being able to log in.
 
When the student logs in, the student will see the message below until the teacher selects
 
 
 
Note
Names of students not logged in will be lighter and italicized.
 
 
Note
Students who lose communication with the teacher's computer, will turn red and will need to "Sync" (located under the F5 menu) back with the teacher's computer. For students who have lost communication because they have exited MathWorlds, Sync will return them to the activity, but all their work will be lost. For students who have lost communication while in MathWorlds (i.e., because a disconnected wire), "Sync" will return them to the activity and their work will not be lost. Once a student has "sync'd," his/her name will no longer be red.
 
Ending a Class
Once the class has been started, becomes available. will log out all students and end the class. This will not delete student contributions.
